Vila do Abraão

Abraão is the islands main village. You get there by ferryboat from Conceição do Jacarei or Angra dos Reis (here you get the main ferry). The cruise takes approx. 1,5 hours. You will find some shops, restaurants, a church, pharmacy, internet café and nightlife there. This is also a good starting point for planning your trips around the island: go for a snorkelling excursion, visit one of the island's marvellous beaches, which are stretching into the emerald ocean or go on a hiking trip across the island, through the lush Mata Atlântica. You will also find many of the Pousadas here, however, it's recommendable to stay in one of the places, which are remote from the village.
