Praia Lopes Mendes

This beach beats it all: finest, whitest sand and a crystal blue and wild ocean. It's definitely the best one on Ilha Grande and among the most beautiful beaches in the world. You only get there by hiking across the island or taking a taxi boat from Vila do Abraão to Pouso Bay. The trek from Pouso to Lopes Mendes Beach takes around 20 minutes through the lush rain forest, where you'll encounter long-tailed monkeys, exotic birds and all different kinds of miracles of nature.
