Olympiapark

The Olympic Park was built as part of the XX Olympic Games in 1972 and the world-famous architecture of the sports facilities blends harmoniously into the man-made park. Especially from the top of the Olympic Hill you have a magnificent view over the sports venues on one side and over Munich's skyline on the other side. On clear days you can see the Bavarian Alps stretching across the horizon to the south. The climb up the 56-meter-high hill takes no more than 15 minutes, however, the extensive park grounds are also suitable for longer strolls. Throughout the year, many different events take place here in the areas of sports, art and culture. During the summer months, the open air cinema is a particularly popular venue for films and also for live-events.
