Asakusa observation deck

At Asakusa Culture Tourist Information Center just across the road from Sensoji Temple you can find an observation deck on the 8th floor of the building, which was designed by the internationally acclaimed Japanese architect Kengo Kuma. From up here you get a sweeping view of Asakusa's Nakamise shopping street, Sensoji-Temple, as well as of neighbouring Tokyo Skytree, which stretches impressive 634 meters into the air. Entrance to the viewing platform is free and you can find lots of interesting information about the area in the tourist centre. It's a great place to come first before venturing out into the busy Asakusa area.
