The Chao Praya is like a water highway curling through Bangkok. Hop on to a river-bus to get to one of the major sights, like Wat Arun or the Grand Palace, or simply to get from one place to another. Get yourself a map with all the stops. Or rent your own longtail boat to discover the Klongs. However, don't expect the Klongs to be some kind of Disneyland - it's more like getting an authentic view into Bangkok's backyards.
